Punch! Music Festival day 1: Tehran / abji_hypersun / DJ Cunt
We’re beyond excited to present you for Beboerhuset's two-day music festival, Punch! 6 acts based in Copenhagen representing the local experimental and noisy underground scene. This festival might be intimate in size, but it’s bursting with big personalities and even bigger sound, punching above it's weight. Expect the unexpected — an unconventional, experimental vibe driven by a bold ambition to reach across borders, blend genres, and move both shores and souls.
Line up 10/4: Tehran / abji_hypersun / DJ CUNT
Behind TEHRAN stands the unruly Irani–Swedish artist formerly known as Nadia Tehran — a figure who, over the past years, has slipped from the glamorous scene of the Scandinavian music industry and into the shadow-zones of Nordic mythmaking.
TEHRAN has become less a name than a presence: a rumor, invoked, glimpsed in passing. What was once a straightforward follow-up to their groundbreaking 2019 debut DOZAKH: All lovers hell has, in the span of two years, transformed into something stranger — an artifact that disappeared before ever released.
In early 2024 TEHRAN announced the visual album HUSQVARNA, to be released on their own label, Inherited Void. The first single DELAM GEREFTEH dropped, but the album never arrived. Instead, it dissolved into speculation and ritual, becoming a kind of a tale — the lost tapes. Some speak of it echoing across the ocean waves from the ruins of the S/S Castor shipwreck in Sjællands Odde last summer, others recall a gloomy night in Den Grå Hal when TEHRAN performed in near darkness, as if summoning the album from another plane. Wherever these songs emerge, they take on the weight of apparition: fleeting, feral, intangible. HUSQVARNA — like the shortened moniker itself — channels the multitudes that they have always carried: raw grief, rage, serrated joy and the will to break through structures designed to contain. Amid dissonant nu-metal guitars, industrial atmospheres and programmed blast-beats, their voice shifts between Swedish, English and Farsi — screaming, growling and softening into melodic confession. The lyrics trace depression, addiction and loss, but from these depths rises an uncompromising insistence on transcendence. What survives from this vanished work is the essence of TEHRAN’s rebirth. And rumor has it, that there is a new chapter being written.
